Where have I been...

Well you know what they all say.. the road to hell and good intentions and all that. Simply put, I have been working on classwork and discovering a new habit. Pathfinder Society Organized Play to be exact. I finally got to do some playing in a real world setting after YEARS of being only online for a bunch of reasons (like being on deployment, not having a group, getting left high and dry by a group...ect)

So, I started playing PFS around May/June to get out and socialize some since I was stuck on a term of NO classroom events. All online classes make you get a bit wonky..

Anyway, it started slow. We had a GM that didn't report/log things. We had folks vanish on us. Then our local Venture-Captain to be appeared, and suddenly we got regular gaming days.. a monthly all day game event. Then he went to Gen Con 2012 and came back with a Goblin Boon to play. (More on Mince in a later post). Then he became our Venture Captain... and things got better as we had a few games at the oldest store in town (Borderlands) and my own venue started to get regulars.

Then he took me to dinner and bought me and another GM a pint of beer..and asked us to be his Venture-Lieutenants. So I'm like. 'Minion #2' for him. :D

Hence my lack of posting and busytime fun.

And in other HERO LAB news

The new Pathfinder Beginner Box came out a few months back.

The Pathfinder Beginner Box @ Piazo: this is a quick 'out of the box' version of the Pathfinder game. Up to fifth level. It comes with a 'New Gamer' style guide for the players (the Hero's Handbook) and another for the GM (Gamemaster's Guide), a full set of dice, several sheets of heavy stock figures for use, several pregen characters to play with right out of the box.

If you got someone who is interested in starting off, it's sorta like the old classic D&D 'Red' book from back in the day, without the need to color the dice with a crayon.

Well the grand folks at Lone Wolf Productions added their two bits to the mix as well. For those who want to try out Hero Lab Beginner's Box edition. It has limited options, naturally, but you can make characters up to 5th level with the Beginner's box options. Not a LOT of stuff, but still it's a good way to test the waters on seeing if you like the Hero Lab program. And it's FREE!!

A new year.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Let's see.. the day before christmas Blizzard did give to me.... a BETA Invite to Diablo III!!!!

Talk about a black hole where time simply disappears into. I'm split between the Demon Hunter (the female model looks nice) and the Barbarian (Male version gives me a Ron Pearlman vibe) with his lovely nasty poison dot-ing axe o' axe.

Then on New Years.. the lovely folks at Lone Wolf Development gave me..

AN INVITE to the Hero Lab for the Mac BETA!!!!

A small hassle getting the secondary license to work, but it was pretty good feedback from the grand folks at Lone Wolf Development. (Happy New Year to you folks). Plug in the secondary license and BAM.. all my stuff works on the Mac beta!
